Modified citrus pectin refers to citrus pectin which has been hydrolyzed or broken down into shorter molecular chains with smaller molecular weights resulting in a more absorbable substance with an enhanced ability to bind to its target sites. "We believe that PMFs have the potential to rival and even beat the cholesterol-lowering effect of some prescription drugs, without the risk of side effects."
